UK health and beauty supplier Healthpoint has been sold to Dutch company Dayes for an undisclosed sum. The move sees private equity firm Maven Capital Partners exiting the business after five years, having gained a triple return on its investment.

Blackpool-based Healthpoint said the Maven backing had enabled the business to fund product development, launch several new product lines, and drive organic growth.

Healthpoint “has become one of the largest suppliers of tertiary branded healthcare products in the UK”, noted Maven.

With a particular focus on the value segment, the firm produces a range of branded products including Derma V10 and Clear & Simple, which are sold at retailers including Home Bargains, Savers, Superdrug and Bodycare.

Amanda Parkinson, managing director at Healthpoint, said: “It has been reassuring to have supportive investors over the last five years assisting the business in it’s continuous growth, and we look forward to working with Dayes in the future”.
