The Place of Possible campaign is H&M’s recruiting campaign aimed at attracting talent interested in supporting the company’s expansion in the US and spreading awareness of the company’s competitive compensation, benefits and advancement opportunities.

Empire” actress, singer and former H&M employee Serayah joined the Swedish retailer to celebrate the launch. She met with press and store staff in celebration of the campaign.

“H&M has always been special to me since I worked here when I was in school. It’s an amazing place not only to work, but to grow into a career. I loved the team spirit we had at my store. I was working there when I found out I had booked Empire.”

The recruiting campaign launched last May and it couldn’t be timelier. A number of retailers including American Eagle, Victoria’s Secret and Forever 21 came under fire for work schedules, particularly on-call shifts, which could reduce people’s interest in working in retail. American Eagle issued a statement in April saying that it has ceased the use of on-call shifts, which came days after Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan began looking into how retailers set work schedules.

The Place of Possible campaign puts not only H&M in a positive light but also retail employment.
