Danish womenswear brand Ganni has committed to open its first store in the UK.

Counting celebrities and TV personalities such as Jessica Alba, Kendall Jenner, Alexa Chung and Holly Willoughby, plus some of the world's coolest bloggers and editors, among its clients, the fashion brand is set to start a new chapter by taking a 2,750-square-foot store at 36 Beak Street in Soho.

The announcement continues to underline the area’s fashion credentials following news that VF Corp, the owner of The North Face, Vans and Timberland, will open a new office in the Axtell Soho building next spring.

Backed by L Catterton, LVMH’s private equity firm, since December last year, Ganni is one of the fastest growing brands in the global apparel space. It is currently stocked in luxury retailers and e-tailers such as Selfridges, Net-A-Porter, Matchesfashion.com and Farfetch.

Levy Real Estate advised landlord Titan Investments on the deal. Matt Paulson-Ellis, head of retail at Levy commented: “London remains an essential location for cutting-edge international brands like Ganni.

“Soho is the perfect environment for their debut in the capital. There’s no sign of these brands being deterred by the ongoing Brexit confusion.”

Located just round the corner from Regent and Oxford Streets, the Soho area generally is enjoying the halo effect of the West End with central London retail defying the overall UK downturn on a wave of tourist spending.
