On May 23, the mid-market brand posted a photo to Instagram with the caption, “NY & LA we're coming for you. So excited for Ganni Mercer & Ganni Melrose stores - opening this Fall #40Mercer #9004Melrose.”

The Scandinavian brand, started in 2000, has previously been available online in the states through its own U.S. e-commerce platform, as well as through retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-a-Porter and Need Supply Co.

In 2018, Ganni announced it would open a brick-and-mortar store in London’s Soho district. The New York City and L.A. stores will mark the brand’s first physical locations outside of Europe.

In addition to the upcoming stores in London, New York and Los Angeles, Ganni operates stores across Denmark, Sweden and Norway. In addition, Ganni is carried by over 400 retailers worldwide.

Majority-owned by LVMH affiliate, private equity firm L Catterton, Ganni is led by husband-and-wife duo, creative director Ditte Reffstrup and CEO Nicolaj Reffstrup.
