Furthermore, Denise Magid has been appointed as Bloomingdale's executive vice president and general merchandise manager for ready-to-wear, bloomingdales.com and concessions, effective January 2 of 2019. The company announced that Magid and Doroff will work together throughout January for a "smooth transition of leadership."

Doroff began his career within the Macy's network in 1972, in addition to serving as senior vice president and general merchandise manager of ready-to-wear and fashion accessories at former department store Bullock's. Doroff has served at Bloomingdale's for 27 years, and began overseeing bloomingdales.com in 2006.

According to a Macy's press release, Doroff "spearheaded the evolution of the women’s ready-to-wear business, the growth of the e-commerce business and the development of a robust concession model," during his career. The company continued, "he was instrumental in building Bloomingdale’s private label program and 100% exclusive initiative – a partnership between merchants and vendors to create unique product for Bloomingdale’s."

Prior to joining Bloomingdale’s, Magid worked at DVMagid Consulting, a consulting company she founded in 2016, in addition to serving as chief merchant at Intermix and senior vice president and general merchandise manager of ready-to-wear at Saks Fifth Avenue.

"[Magrid's] varied experience across department stores and boutiques, physical and digital businesses, and upscale and contemporary brands, uniquely positions her to build upon [Doroff's] legacy," said Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s.

Bloomingdale's currently operates 38 Bloomingdale’s stores and 17 Bloomingdale’s, The Outlet Stores throughout the United States, in addition to locations in Dubai and Kuwait.
