Dong-Hyun Bae, President of Amorepacific Group, says the company is looking "forward to expanding our market share in the US, the world's largest market, under [Hanson's] leadership."

In her new role, Hanson will be tasked with increasing market share in the US and with creating more awareness for Amorepacific's portfolio of cosmetics, personal care, and health care products in America.

The beauty industry veteran said she plans to elevate Amorepacific in the US by focusing on the brand's heritage, and will also focus on Amorepacific's "commitment to research and innovation."

Hanson most recently comes from Perricone MD where she was the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. Prior to Perricone she was at L'Oréal USA for eight years. She has previously held leadership roles in sales and marketing for L'Oréal Paris and Clarisonic.

Hanson was also a DMM/Vice President of brands at Sephora for Luxury Fragrances and Men's Grooming. She received her B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and her MBA in Marketing from Fordham.

Amorepacific is a 70 year old company that focuses on bringing what it calls "Asian beauty" to the market. It represents itself as Korea's top brand.
