Fashion + Design Festival Arnhem starts 2 June

From 2 June until 3 July 2016, the city of Arnhem will be celebrating fashion and design by hosting a month-long event, Fashion + Design Festival Arnhem (FDFA). A number of events, such as exhibitions, fashion shows, lectures and workshops will take place at different locations around the city.

The festival will commence with the graduate show from the fashion design department of the ArtEZ School of the arts.

Additional fashion focused events include: The journey of Bas Kosters exhibition at the Museum Arnhem (until 4 September 2016), vintage market Wijvenkraam (12 June), Awearness Fashion Café (16 June), Arnhem Fashion Night (18 June) and  the ballet costume exposition Introdans. The latter features works of fashion designers Hedi Slimane, Mattijs and Corne Gabriels.

Fashion and Design Festival Arnhem started in 2014 as the Arnhem Fashion Festival and attracted 45,000 visitors in 2015. This year the festival renamed  as the Fashion and Design Festival Arnhem to connect a wider range of events together. The festival is organized by Rielle Schoeman (general coordinator) and Sebastiaan Kramer (creative coordinator) in collaboration with cultural organizations from Arnhem.
