Thierry Andretta is reported to have been named chief executive office of jewellery brand Buccellati according to Italian weekly Il Mondo. Andretta is also said to have received equity in the company as part of the deal.

The French executive left fashion house Lanvin in April for ‘personal reasons’ after a fruitful four-year stint at the head of international development.

As CEO, Thierry Andretta would be in charge of developing Buccellati’s retail network which currently consists of 12 stores across the world, including locations in Milan, London, Paris and New York. Buccellati’s annual revenue weighs in between 50 and 60 million euros.

Before being taken over by Italian investment fund Clessidra in March, Buccellati was one of the remaining independent jewellers at Paris’ famed Place Vendôme. Financial details of the takeover were not disclosed but Andrea Buccellati, son of founder Mario, remains the company’s president.
