As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, women’s market officially begins. On September 17, New York market will be underway with the Designers & Agents show, Capsule New York, Tranoï and Woman followed by the ENK shows on September 18.

Designers & Agents will kick off the extended weekend at the Starrett Lehigh Building in Chelsea on Saturday, September 17 and will include brands William Okpo, Christine Alcalay, and Coclico among others. The trade show recently partnered with the New York City Economic Development Corporation to launch the Designers & Agents: Made in NY Collective, which provides a series of workshops for brands to develop marketing and sales strategies, individualized creative direction and product development sessions, and exposure to over 2,000 leading international retailers. A select group of designers will have a fully subsidized exhibition space at the trade show.

Tranoï will join the Designers & Agents show in Chelsea at The Tunnel at 269 11th Avenue. The show will kick off with a discussion from the Parfums Speaker Series titled, “You’re In! Getting Your Brand in Stores and in Print.” The panel discussions will continue through the following days with the topics, “The Art of Retail — Curating the Consumer Experience" and "Fragrance Trends: What's Next After Oud?" Prior to the show, Tranoï will hold an event at Barneys New York on Madison Avenue to preview 10 perfume brands that will show at Tranoï New York over the weekend.

Woman will be downtown from the Designers & Agents show at Industria. The show will return to the studio in the West Village after moving its men’s show, Man, to ArtBeam in Chelsea. Like past seasons, Woman will showcase an assortment of international brands that have built camaraderie and community over the years. Corridor NYC, Fay Andrada, Gabriela Artigas, Veja and Wwake will be present at the trade show as well as longtime Man/Woman attendee Norse Projects among others.

In Midtown, Capsule will hold its women’s show at Pier 94. The trade show held its biggest show to date in February with Axis and aims to build on its continued growth. This season will see the debut of Capsule’s new show format that was announced in April, along with its merger with Axis. Attendees will also see the winner of the emerging designer scholarship co-sponsored by Capsule and Merchant Factors, the recipient brand receiving a free booth space at the New York show. After New York, Capsule will head to Paris and then Los Angeles for its first-ever West Coast show.

On Sunday, UBM’s lineup of ENK shows will commence at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The most notable addition to the shows is SOURCING@Coterie, which will feature a curated selection of factories from the US, Japan, Europe and South America that specialize in apparel, accessories and footwear. Sourcing Journal Made in NY and Designers Guide Expo moved their annual summit from October to September to coincide with the new activation.
