Luxury menswear brand Dunhill has hired former Burberry menswear designer Mark Weston as new creative director. He will present the new vision for the brand at London Fashion Week: Men’s in June, showcasing a curated selection of pieces from Autumn Winter 2017 alongside the Spring Summer 2018 collection.

Weston was most recently senior vice president of menswear at Burberry, responsible for the growth and development of the British fashion house’s men’s product ranges.

His appointment at Dunhill follows another hire from Burberry earlier this year. In March Dunhill announced that Andrew Maag, a former Burberry head of Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, would take over as CEO.

Mark Weston commented on his new position: “The opportunity to creatively develop and design for the iconic British menswear luxury brand is rare and exciting. Dunhill’s innovative and design-driven heritage is a unique platform to build upon by creating purposeful products with an aesthetic that is classic yet relevant today.”

“Mark brings an innate understanding of menswear and product design that will uniquely drive our brand and business growth forward. Dunhill is the leading luxury British menswear brand with strong foundations and I am excited by Mark’s appointment to lead the brand’s creative vision to the future,” added chief executive officer Andrew Maag.

The brand has over 70 stores in 16 countries spanning London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Dubai.
