More and more high-end labels are forging links with artists at present and the latest development comes from one of the biggest designer labels of all — Dior

The menswear arm of the label under artistic director Kim Jones has launched its collaboration with Peter Doig that was originally flagged earlier this year.

Kim Jones has “reinvented iconic staples of the masculine wardrobe to showcase the work of the British artist”, the company said.

Between them, they’ve come up with a “statement-making camouflage motif” that appears on a “delicate jacquard, covering the looks and the accessories like the Saddle and its hobo version, the Saddle Soft”.

The military print also appears on Dior Explorer boots and the label’s B23 sneakers.

These are all available in shades of chocolate and cognac as well as in a denim version.

Artists link-ups are being forged more and more often across the price spectrum at present with this year having seen Vans, Tommy Hilfiger, The Couture Club and more adding special-edition artist collections to their wider offering.
