French childrenswear specialist Children Worldwide Fashion (CWF) has recently appointed Aurélie Pepion as head of sales. Pepion is the former president of French lingerie group Lacelier, whose brand portfolio includes Lou, Bestform and Variance. She succeeds Kevin Thompson, who has left CWF after 17 years with the group.

Before joining Lacelier in September 2019 as chief commercial officer, and later managing director, Pepion worked for Canadian jewellery brand Birks as vice-president in charge of sales, operations, marketing and communication.

Pepion also did a nine-year stint at Swarovski, notably as managing director Canada from 2016 to 2018, and has worked in commercial roles at Gucci and Puig.

“[Pepion’s] extensive luxury industry experience and international outlook will help CWF achieve its next goals, including accelerating in America and Asia. Finally, her dynamic personality will be an important asset in building CWF’s future success alongside the group’s staff,” said CWF.

Pepion will report directly to Alain Pourcelot, who was appointed president of CWF in December 2022.

At the start of the year, CWF, whose brand portfolio includes 14 licenses such as Aigle, Kenzo Kids and Givenchy, in addition to its two private label brands, benefited from new investment worth €140 million by its current shareholders Arkéa Capital (the investment subsidiary of the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa group), Raise Investissement and Dzeta Group.

CWF products are distributed in 80 countries via nearly 2,500 retailers, including 350 department stores, 70 pure players and 65 Kids Around stores, the group’s own multi-brand concept. In 2022, CWF generated a revenue of €284 million.
