Cotton On relaunches Coar collection to cash in on activewear

Australian apparel retailer Cotton On is relaunching its former sports-inspired Coar collection for men this month. The new look Coar is a more performance driven, activewear line for both men and women.

The new Coar will cover tanks, t-shirts and compression leggings, as well as training shorts and active outerwear. Each piece boasts performance fabrics, offering specialist capabilities such as odour management, moisture wicking and Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating.

"The range needed to be adaptable for our customer’s lifestyles, whether that included competing professionally, working out at the gym or running errands on a Saturday morning," said Coar category manager, Dominic Gleeson.

"We’re incredibly proud of this new collection, which allows the Cotton On customer to have fun updating their workout wardrobe with affordable, performance-ready pieces”.

​New Coar kit will drop each quarter, said Cotton On with prices for the range starting at AU$19.95 (US$15.15).

According to a recent Morgan Stanley report, the global activewear and athleisure clothing market will make up to $83 billion in sales by 2020.
