Roviera is an industry veteran with nearly two decades of experience in the luxury industry. He was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Pal Zileri and Head of EMEA at Ermenegildo Zegna.

“Paolo is joining Corneliani at a very exciting time as we embark on an ambitious global expansion strategy,” commented Hazem Ben-Gacem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corneliani and the Head of Investcorp's Private Equity activities in Europe.

The company, known for its suits and sophisticated casualwear, has a global sales presence in 68 countries.

“There is tremendous opportunity at Corneliani to explore innovation within the sector and accelerate the brand’s global presence across a variety of markets and I look forward to working alongside Corneliani’s management team, talented employees and international partners in driving this vision forward,” said Paolo Roviera.

Further to the CEO appointment, Corneliani announced that Stefano Gaudioso will be joining as General Merchandising Manager.

In June 2016, the private equity firm Investcorp acquired a majority stake in Corneliani. The label generated revenue in excess of 110 million euros in 2015.
