British Fashion Council announces 10 winners for NewGen Men

The British Fashion Council has announced the 10 winners of NewGen Men, a showcase launched in September 2009 and sponsored by Topshop that funds shows put on by emerging designers. Christopher Shannon, J.W. Anderson, James Long and Sibling were originally put in the spotlight thanks to the program.


Among the 10 names selected to participate from January 9 - 12 in London Collections: Men (fall/winter 2015 collections) is newcomer Vidur, a sportswear line for men with clean lines, a functional mindset and a Nordic touch designed by Raj Mistry and Richard Brand.

Five brands will take to the catwalk to present their collections: English designers Agi Mdumulla and Sam Cotton with their brand Agi & Sam; Danish, London-based designer Astrid Andersen, whose premium casual apparel mixes bright colors with hip-hop influences; and Londoners Craig Green, Lee Roach and Nasir Mazhar. 

Four other brands will hold presentations: Londoner Alex Mullins, known for his volumes and XL prints; CMMN SWDN, the Swedish menswear brand founded by Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund; young Brazilian Diego Vanassibara; and English designer Kit Neale, known for his prints and the freshness of his collections.
