After seven years in business, Boxtal has carried out a first financing round with the help of IDinvest Partners, and raised €7 million to fund the export of its services into Spain. Boxtal is already supported by Stéphane Treppoz, the CEO of French online footwear retailer Sarenza.

The company was founded in 2009 as EnvoiMoinsCher.Com, and was recently re-christened Boxtal, a name that fits better with its international ambitions.

In 2010, Boxtal was awarded the logistics prize at the Paris E-commerce Show, and it is now a leader in multi-carrier parcel deliver in France. It acts as a link between e-retailers and carriers, negotiating prices and managing shipping operations. Boxtal also offers online retailers a series of solutions for delivery optimisation.

Boxtal currently serves 170,000 customers, among them 5,000 e-retailers, including Coussin Germain, The Corner Shop and La Poule à Pois in France, and intends to offer the same services and solutions to Spanish businesses from October. The company has already negotiated delivery prices with local Spanish carriers such as SEUR, Punto Pack and UPS.
