He took charge of Boohoo.com's French subsidiary in January, with the mission of developing a strategic expansion plan for the country, focusing in particular on increasing brand awareness and creating locally appropriate promotions and marketing operations.

Nicolas Pérignon was formerly the Director of Communication for French multimedia and electronics retailer Boulanger. In 2013 and 2014 he was in charge of marketing and communication at Asos France, and before that he was CSR and External Communication Manager at apparel and home furnishing company Redcats (2007-2011), and Social Media and M-commerce Marketing Manager at French mail order/e-tail company La Redoute (2012-2013). Between 2004 and 2007, Pérignon was head of online sales and communication for Eden Park in France.

In the first six months of the latest financial year, closed at the end of August 2017, Boohoo.com doubled its sales and reached GBP262.9 million (€306 million), with a gross margin of GBP99.5 million (€113 million). For the full financial year, whose results will be published soon, the British group is estimating an 80% increase in revenue.
