Béton Ciré arrives in New York

Published

Launched two years ago by Mario Faundez and Amélie Leroux, the Béton Ciré brand made itself known for its new takes on the famous Brittany sailor hat, the 'miki'. A success that led the brand straight into Parisian concept store Colette and which is a constant source of inspiration today, from Alexandre Mattiussi's AMI brand whose latest show featured the same hats, to Brooklyn stores where 'miki' copies can be found.

Béton Ciré exhibited as usual at the Man trade show in Paris, showcasing its new collection of signature miki hats: a lambskin model for next winter, one with removable peak, one in herringbone fabric and, a first, one for women.

In parallel, the brand is expanding its range, presenting new models for next winter, all featuring a Brittany theme: the trawler model, or the ki-bob (a beanie with a nautical cordon), made in France in Lorient, Brittany, in addition to its premier woollen hats.

A piece of good news for the brand is that its famous mikis have recently arrived in New York, at Dover Street Market (160 Lexington Avenue), and should also be available at the London store next March.

In total, Béton Ciré is currently present in some fifteen countries and will be launching its e-commerce site www.betonxcire.com this month.
