Bruno Sälzer, who is set to begin on December 1 at the head of Bench, having purchased a 15% in the company, is already getting his teams together. Several appointments have been made in order to take the British brand to a new level. The driving force behind the success of Hugo Boss and the current boss of Escada, Sälzer is hiring for key positions in Munich.

Sebastian Prallet

Following the announcement of the hiring of Natalie Suessmann, formerly at Escada, the post of chief marketing officer, it’s Maria Hanna Schmitz’s turn. Having cut her teeth at Escada, Schmitzt has been named digital marketing manager, under the direction of Natalie Suessmann. It’s a key position given Bench’s 20-30 year-old target demographic, who more or less inhabit the Internet.

Another new position: that of wholesale sales manager. Sebastian Prallet has been named to the post, having served as head of international sales at Joop since 2010, part of Holy Fashion Group (Strellson, Windsor...). Before joining Holy Fashion, which formerly owned Hugo Boss, Prallet spent over 7 years with Adidas, having held senior sales positions, including managing major international accounts. At Bench, he will rely on the company’s existing network of 1,500 retail clients, including 700 based in Germany.
