He has also been promoted to group vice president, after having spent the past four years as president of Avon Canada.

In fact the experienced senior executive has had a long career at the cosmetics firm, holding several leadership, sales and marketing roles with Avon Canada and Avon Worldwide in North America and Central and Eastern Europe for more than a decade.

His relocation coincides with LG Household & Health Care’s acquisition of New Avon LLC, the company comprising Avon’s business in North America including the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. The transaction had no impact on the cosmetics fim’s Worldwide business, whose ownership is held separately.

Petrovic will take over his new role in July, and will be responsible for leading Avon in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Global president Miguel Fernandez commented on Petrovic’s appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Goran back to Avon Worldwide to lead this strategically important cluster and one of our largest markets. His three years in Russia as head of sales and experience in social selling in Eastern Europe, combined with more recent strategic transformation leadership in North America puts him in a strong position to build our business in Eastern Europe.”

Over the past few months, the beauty firm has been driving a new ‘Open Up’ strategy aimed at unlocking its growth in existing markets and helping representatives sell more by using digital tools.

“I'm very excited about the opportunity to transform the business model and support the next generation of Avon Beauty Entrepreneurs to build successful businesses,” said Goran Petrovic.
