Australian activewear brand The Upside is launching its first-ever beach collection this month, debuting a line of swimwear expected to harness the same spirit as the brand’s sport and recovery collections.

Dubbed 'Vacances d’été', the collection is described as a mix of bohemian coastline casual with 70’s rock-like glamour and is characterised by leopard print, camo print, and pops of red. Items include classic bandeau and triangle tops, cheeky fox tie bottoms and contemporary high-rise, high-cut bikini briefs, as well as one-piece swimwear.

Besides swimwear, other separates round out the collection such as wide-leg palazzo pants, maxi dresses, jumpsuits, kimonos and more.

“Beach is something we’ve always talked about adding to The Upside’s offering, and designing swim is something that feels very natural to me and the brand. We’ve been developing the Beach collection for over 12 months now, and I’m excited to be launching in time for the Australian summer,” said The Upside founder and Creative Director, Jodhi Meares, in a news statement.

Established five years ago, The Upside is well-known for its activewear. It operates three stand-alone stores in Sydney and is stocked globally by retailers like Selfridges, Nordstrom, Lane Crawford, Harrods and MatchesFashion.
