American Rag Cie is giving Chinese designers the opportunity to have their designs exposed to the American market through its shop-in-shop at its Los Angeles store.

The 600 square foot shop-in-shop features nine Chinese designers’ made in China products. Mark Werts, the owner of American Rag, got the idea for the pop-up installation while he was in China for the new American Rag Cie store opening in Shanghai this July. On the pop-up, Werts said, "If this [shops-in-shop] is successful, we will expand it. If it isn’t, we’ll keep it the same."

A few brands and designers taking part in the shop-in-shop include Atelier Rouge, Zhang Chi, Mobius Studio, Taciturnli, Vintage Republic, and Amanda Shi among others.

American Rag has hosted pop-up shops and art installations in the past including one with menswear brand Chapter for its FW14 collection.
