Altuzarra now has six months to create a capsule collection made using 80% merino wool. His winning design was a knitted dress and a top, pictured above. London-based brand Sibling was named Europe’s representative in the competition last month, with the remaining three finalists (Middle East, Asia and Australia) still to be determined.

The winner of the prize will receive a 100,000 AUS dollar underwriting for their company and will see their collection sold at several prestigious retailers across the world including Harvey Nichols in London and Hong Kong, Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Joyce in China, David Jones in Sydney and online at MyTheresa.
