At the end of a banner year for designer Alexander Wang, the New York designer has announced a collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre. The special edition wireless headphones will retail through Apple and Alexander Wang retail platforms for $600.

The wireless headphones, one of Beats by Dr. Dre’s new styles, have been given a Wang upgrade. The headphones will feature a custom dove grey croc-embossed Italian leather accent and an Italian leather case to match. The headphones feature Beats by Dr. Dre's signature dual-mode noise cancelling details and a wireless battery that supports 12 hours of play time.

This isn’t the first time Alexander Wang has collaborated with Beats by Dr. Dre. Three years ago, the two brands created a custom design of in-ear headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, and a wireless headphone.

This year has been a big one for Alexander Wang: he was the first designer to be named a curator on Apple Music (Apple also owns the Beats by Dr. Dre label); he dropped a huge collaboration with Adidas; and he won a high-profile lawsuit against counterfeiters. The designer also stepped up as the CEO and chairman of his own company after his sister-in-law and mother stepped down.

The headphones are now available on both Apple and Alexander Wang’s retail sites.
