Alexander Wang releases 'No After Party' capsule collection

Alexander Wang typically secures the Saturday night timeslot for his runway shows at New York Fashion Week. The designer built a reputation for holding full-scale runway shows with celebrity guests and for hosting exclusive after parties that fashion outsiders dream of attending every season.

 
Wang made his highly anticipated after party, or lack thereof, a theme this season at NYFW. The show invite had a “no after-party” mock disclaimer on the bottom. The New York City-based designer this week launched a “No After Party” capsule collection inspired by the fall 2017 show theme.
 
The collection consists of long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts in black and white, leggings, and cutoff shorts that feature the phrase “No After Party” as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the brand’s very popular NYFW party. The long sleeve t-shirt features the words ‘this season’ on the back.

The leggings debuted as part of a few looks from the fall 2017 collection and Wang wore the No After Party long sleeve t-shirt in black at the show’s conclusion. The brand unveiled the full capsule collection on social media, including No After Party cutoff shorts that were modeled by Bella Hadid in a Polaroid photo posted on Instagram.
