Alexander McQueen names Emmanuel Gintzburger as CEO

Kering on Tuesday announced the appointment of Emmanuel Gintzburger as Chief Executive Officer of Alexander McQueen, effective May 9, 2016. Gintzburger will succeed Jonathan Akeroyd, who is leaving the company after 12 years to pursue interests outside of Kering Group.

As CEO of Alexander McQueen, Gintzburger will use his experience of business development and expertise in retail and marketing to pursue the brand’s global expansion and accelerate its growth. In addition, he will report to Grita Loebsack, Kering Chief Executive Officer of Luxury – Couture & Leather Goods Emerging Brands.

Gintzburger heads to Alexander McQueen from Yves Saint Laurent where he most recently served as Worldwide Retail and Wholesale Director. He joined the fashion house in 2009 as Europe Retail Director, and prior to joining YSL, he held management positions at Sephora France and Lanvin.
