The new store measures 180 m² and was made to reflect the individuality of the city. It features Acne Studio's new store concept, with signature touches like stainless steel walls and bespoke fittings and furniture, creating an individual destination.

“I’m thrilled to open our first Acne Studios store in Munich. I love how the design reacts to the city’s elevated mix between industry and individuality. I think we will be very happy here,” said Mikael Schiller, Chairman Acne Studios.

The shop space is seen through a series of windows and the brand said the store itself acts like a window display. Long-term collaborator Max Lamb created bespoke furniture for the shop, which also houses a mirrored corner box in which the fitting rooms can be found.

This is Acne's fourth German store and it follows the Potsdamer Straße location in Berlin, which opened in October 2015. The brand is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, and will open a total of four new stores this year - the Münich store will be followed by shops on New York's Madison Avenue, as well as Acne's first Milan store and a store in San Francisco.
