Les Hommes : Men's shows Spring/Summer 2019 (with interview)

Artistic Director: Tom Notte & Bart VandeboschInspiration: a USA road tripCollection: a wardrobe with accents of sportswear, with oversized volumes and graphic prints. Reinterpreted basics, a relaxed allure with parkas decorated with fringing and short sleeved shirts with top-stitched sleeves.Focus: on the raw denim, the decorative elements of metal, on the loose knitwear, the fringed blouson jackets, the Navajo motifs embroidered or appliquéd onto the clothes. An effortless allure with straight leg trousers. Plus the new logo stretched out in length, plastered on the tops. Accessories of the season: the screen sunglasses Tom Notte : The starting point of this collection is as always to take our audience upon a journey of our inspiration and try to take them on a trip and this season was a trip into the mysterious prairies of the Native Americans with, let’s say, a bit of a collision with the Western iconic street style pieces. But with respect to all the craftsmanship and graphics of the Navajo Indians. Bart Vandebosch : There are a lot of graphics as always, we were especially inspired by all the hand knitted carpets, craftsmanship from the Native Americans so there’s a lot of jacquard like that, also in terms of volumes, there are a lot of interesting shapes, new shapes this season, super over-sized, which make the collection look a little bit different to usual but in a very interesting way. I think the most important pieces for this upcoming season are the hand knits, it’s all hand knitted jacquards, XL volumes, also the introduction of raw denim is something that is very new for us and of course all the craftsmanship, the hand embroideries, all these kinds of embellishments that we did this season is very important in this collection.Music from fashion show
