A collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld is always an event. For the launch of a limited-edition collection of beauty with ModelCo, the successful Australian cosmetics company, an army of dancers wearing Karl Lagerfeld head helmets roamed about Paris ending in a flash mob at place Vendôme. A way of celebrating this new line composed of 50 makeup products and accessories, with vibrant colours, represented by the effigy of the designer and icon. Interviews of Shelley Sullivan (CEO and founder of ModelCo) and Pier Paolo Righi (President and CEO of the Karl Lagerfeld Society): Shelley Sullivan : The packaging for the collaboration is very special, Mr Karl Lagerfeld actually designed the sketch of the silhouette head that you see, that features on all of our products, the Lip Lights, the brushes and everything else and we felt that because he’s such a fashion icon himself, what better to have leading the design of the collaboration than by having the Karl Lagerfeld silhouette across some of our products. Pier Paolo Righi : You can’t fail, this is Karl Lagerfeld, so basically, it’s like almost Coca Cola, you see the bottle you know what it is, you see his face, that is it: Karl Lagerfeld.
