Tommy Hilfiger has expanded on its inclusive adaptive clothing collection with the launch of adaptive apparel for adults.
The adaptive clothing collection for adults, which launched on October 18, is comprised of 37 men’s styles and 34 women’s styles based on the Tommy Hilfiger sportswear collections and feature adjusted seams and openings for easier dressing for individuals and caretakers.
Pieces are crafted with velcro closures, magnetic flies on pants, jeans and chinos, magnetic shoulder, front and back closures to help pull clothes over the head, magnetic zippers to enable individuals to zip and unzip with one hand, adjusted leg openings and hems to accommodate leg braces and orthotics, and pull-on pant loops inside of waist bands that fit around the wrist to pull on pants.
“Inclusivity and the democratization of fashion have always been at the core of my brand’s DNA,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “These collections continue to build on that vision, empowering differently abled adults to express themselves through fashion.”
The Tommy Hilfiger adaptive clothing collection for adults is available on the brand’s website.
The American clothing company launched its first adaptive clothing collection for children for spring 2016 and launched a back-to-school collection this fall, in partnership with non-profit organizaton Runway of Dreams.
The 22-piece collection is designed like the brand’s seasonal collection but is made for easier dressing for people with additional needs and different abilities.
