Rock & Republic

Rock & Republic is looking to start again on a firm footing. The American jeans label, emblematic of fashionable, premium jeans since 2000, has just entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

“It's a strategic action...which will allow us to take positive financial and operational steps, which the growing brand needs,” said Geoffrey Lurie, who has been named as Director General in charge of the brand’s restructuring, to the Los Angeles Times.

Founded by Michael Ball, Rock & Republic has developed a niche within the luxury denim sector, selling jeans at 200 to 400 Euros on average. The label recently announced 500 accounts around the world which include Le Printemps, Harvey Nichols (London), Luisa Via Roma (Florence) and Isetan Shinjuku (Tokyo).
