Bread & Butter no more, long live Premium. The organisers of Premium in Berlin, which are also behind Seek, on Friday announced that they have purchased Bright, the streetwear and boardsport trade show.

The Premium Group will now have three major Berlin trade shows under its helm, as well as Premium Order Munich in the Bavarian capital.

Marco Aslim and Thomas Martini, the founders of Bright who sold their shares in the operation, will remain directors of the event born in Frankfurt ten years ago. In a press release, the organisers stressed that the different entities of the group will each retain their identity.

This season, from 8 to 10 July, Bright was held at the same site as Seek, which is dedicated to contemporary and streetwear. A move that made it possible for visitors to discover 600 brands. However, it has to be said that the niche trade show for boardsports and streetwear, Bright, has become rather mainstream, attracting some of the heavyweights in the sector. At Arena in Berlin, Seek, launched in 2009, with the backup of Bright, offered a scent of déjà vu with Levi’s, Reebok, Puma, Vans, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, and more in two giant halls on the banks of the Spree.

In any case, Berlin, which has experienced a lot of uncertainty over the past year in the trade show sector, might finally be headed for more tranquil times.
