Pitti Uomo's Guest Nation project showcases 8 Australian designers

The Guest Nation project, sponsored by Pitti Discovery and the Woolmark Company, introduced eight emerging Australian designers at Pitti Uomo 92 in Florence, all of them featuring a high degree of creativity.

Chris RanLin, who was born in China but grew up in Melbourne, is distinctive for his knitwear innovation, while Commas presented a swimsuit collection steeped in the glamorous style of the French Riviera's golden years, and Double Rainbouu featured a series of Hawaii-style shirts inspired by the world of art and pop culture.

ExInfinitas focuses on a blend of romantic Parisian taste with the Australian wool manufacturing tradition, upgraded via experimental new fabrics and innovative graphic motifs. P.E Nation's womenswear collection has an edgy tomboy style, while Sener Besim showcased an eyewear collection. Strateas.Carlucci featured a pared-down tailored look with a minimalist vibe, and finally Ten Pieces concentrated on streetwear and sportswear.
