Paris Retail Week, the multi-channel retail event, born in 2015 from the collaboration between the E-commerce Paris and Equipmag trade shows, will hold its third coordinated edition from 19th to 21st September at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre. The event will incorporate the bi-annual, scaled-down edition of Equipmag, called Digital in Store, for a total of 600 exhibitors, and is expecting 30,000 visitors at the venue's newly renovated Hall 7.3.

The event's programme will once again feature a substantial number of talks, conferences and round-tables, with over 350 speakers, and a session of master-classes focusing around five major themes: footfall acquisition, website make-over, customer referencing, web conversion and social media.

In addition, the show will host once more a Start-up Village, bringing together emerging companies specialised in e-tail and traditional retail. Exhibitors will be grouped in seven sections: IF for Commerce, Payment Solutions, Marketing/Data/Client Relations, Digital in Store, Logistics/Supply chain, Consulting agencies and the Start-up Village.

"The common thread running through Paris Retail Week 2017 is Live Retail. Thanks to the emergence of big data and its use, brands now have a vast amount of information for knowing and recognising their customers, said the director of the retail division for the show organiser, Comexposium. We are witnessing a paradigm shift: consumers and brands are building a new relationship based on empathy and engagement, leading to a more authentic, more humane and experiential kind of retail."

The event will also assign the seven Paris Retail Awards, and a Rookie of the Year prize. The awards' jury consists of industry professionals, led this year by the General Manager of the Alibaba Group France, Sebastien Badault, and also including Régis Pennel (L’Exception), Alexandre Chevalier (Delsey) and Hayat Zerouali (Marc Orian, Histoire d’or).

The event also organises for its visitors two Paris Retail Tours in the French capital, to discover Parisian stores whose retail approach is in synch with contemporary challenges, "for their innovation, the deployment of new technology, their differentiating design features and for the merchandising solutions they use to attract customers and follow up on their visit," said the organiser.

In September 2016, Paris Retail Week held its first edition, combining E-commerce Paris with the full version of the Equipmag show, and not just the scaled-down Digital in Store version. The event's debut edition attracted 48,369 visitors.
