Belsham joined the online marketplace in May 2015. He has previously held various roles at Tesco including managing director of Tesco.com and multichannel development director, and served as director of non-food at Ocado between 2011 and 2013.

Notonthehighstreet chairman Darren Shapland will provide executive leadership supported by CFO David Phillips and chief commercial officer Ella d’Amato until a successor is appointed.

Shapland said: “I would like to thank Simon for his contribution and commitment to the company.  We wish him every success in his future endeavours and the next stage of his career.”

“It’s been a privilege to have led the business during an important transition period for the company from the founders to the new management team and I’m proud of the progress we have made.  I look forward to watching its future success as it builds from here, and I will continue to shop with Notonthehighstreet.com to be the most thoughtful gifter for my friends and family,” added Simon Belsham.

The London-based etailer stocks a curated selection of clothing, accessories, jewellery and gifts crafted by hundreds of creative businesses around the world. Founded in 2006 by Holly Tucker, the brand has experienced exceptional growth with gross sales reaching £158 million in 2016.
