The stores will be located in Amsterdam (Rokin 21 and 49), Breda (winkelcentrum De Barones) and Tilburg (Heuvelstraat). The latter two branches will be located in former V&D buildings, the Dutch department store that went bankrupt in December 2015.

Additionally, parent company, Hudson’s Bay Company, also announced that outlet concept, Saks OFF 5TH, will open its doors at the Kalvertoren shopping destination (Kalverstraat) in Amsterdam. This will result in a total of 50,000 square metre of retail space, agreed upon on in a long-term lease. The first store is expected to open in Summer 2017.

Hudson’s Bay has expanded its presence since September 2015 in Europe by purchasing the German department store chain Galeria Kaufhof, which included 102 Galeria Kaufhof stores in Germany and 16 locations under the name Galeria Inno in Belgium. In May 2016 the company confirmed that it plans to open 20 department stores in the Netherlands in the next two years.
