Hanro goes more fashion-oriented with Eric & Me

In 2013, Hanro relaunched itself onto the ready-to-wear segment with a small line, Hanro Knits. Clearly satisfied with the experiment, the Swiss underwear and loungewear brand is now delving further with the launch of a complete wardrobe released by an entirely separate brand called "Eric & Me" and subtitlde "by Hanro".

Eric & Me by Hanro fall-winter 15/16

The name Eric & Me pays homage to a particular period in the history of the house, which was founded in 1884. It refers to Eric and Madeleine Handschin, members of the founding family's third generation. In 1933, they launched Hanro's first ready-to-wear collection, which finally came to an end in the 80's. Now, after an absence of a few decades, it is being revived for the fall-winter 15/16 season.

Knits are still the collection's common thread, as it is Hanro's specialty, but it also includes blends and weaves as well as silk pieces. There are 43 models (not including color variations), including tops, pants, dresses, jackets, etc. Its positioning is upscale: from 120 euros for tops and up to 500 for more considerable items.

The first Eric & Me collection will be offered in Hanro stores (New York, London Vienna, Graz, Rome, Munich) beginning in September, as well as in selected department stores and multi-brand retailers around the world, with a priority placed on three main markets: Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
