H&M and Fashion Council Germany unveil fellowship programme

H&M and Fashion Council Germany announced at conference during Berlin Fashion Week a two-year partnership aimed at promoting and supporting young German talent.

Participants of the ‘Fellowship Programme’ will benefit from Fashion Council Germany’s extensive network of industry experts, while H&M will provide them with business and practical support to launch and expand their brands.

Fashion Council Germany was launched in 2015 with Vogue Germany editor-in-chief Christiane Arp as its president. The board also includes Marie-Louise Berg, Owner and Managing Director of Berg Communications; Anita Tillman, Managing Partner of Premium trade show; Mandie Bienek, Managing Director of Press Factory; Claudia Hoffmann, recognized freelance creative director and Marcus Kurz, co-founder of the Berliner Mode Salon.  

The programme is set to launch on July 15 with the opening of applications. According to German media, up to five designers will be selected for the initiative. Recipients are expected to be announced in January during Berlin Fashion Week.
