Fashion Scout to nominate European brands for International Woolmark Prize

Fashion Scout has been invited to nominate outstanding achievers in menswear and womenwear from over 30 European countries for the International Woolmark Prize.
The competition, originally launched in 1953 as an initiative of the International Wool Secretariat, is a globally recognised showcase of design excellence using Australian merino wool. Previous winners have included Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurrent, and most recently the London-based label Teatum Jones.
It is held across several stages, starting with regional awards in six regions: Asia, Australia & New Zealand; British Isles; Europe; India, Pakistan & Middle East; and the USA.
Fashion Scout will be accepting nominations for consideration from countries including Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Servia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine and the Vatican City.
Designers nominated by Fashion Scout will compete for the chance to win $100,000 (AU), international press coverage and stockists.
Applications will be open until 18.00 GMT Sunday 22 January 2017.
