“In 2002, Holger joined Esprit with the brief to launch a bodywear brand. The Esprit bodywear division has become in the past few years one the most stable and successful areas of the company,” said the international fashion brand.

In 2014, Thiesse was appointed to build and reorganise Esprit Sports and in 2015 he was promoted to Head of Lifestyle.

Following his departure, Thiesse’s responsibilities will be assumed split between three different people, said the brand. Ute Wethmat will continue to oversee the Bodywear and Sports lines as Global Category Manager, Beate Köhler has already begun to lead the Accessories and Shoes division and Maria Pambori will take over the activities related to licenses as Head of Global License/Product.

Meanwhile, Paula Dumont has been appointed to succeed Holger Thiesse as Head of Lifestyle and Senior Vice President.

Esprit was founded in California in 1968 and currently shares its headquarters between Hong Kong and Germany.
