In search of international recognition, Italian jacket specialist brand Colmar, chose Shayne Oliver for the early September launch of its new website, "A.G.E", 100 percent focused on research and creation.

The brand is today distinguished by the American designer, who founded the brand Hood By Air, a fan of cross-gender design and who’s more and more sought after by brands like Helmut Lang and Diesel, as well as Longchamp. He’s referred to as "curator".

Baptized A.G.E, for Advanced Garment Association, the site is a creative platform where new products, but also related content, mainly visuals, will be gathered.

Colmar has introduced the initiative as a permanent space that will hub future collaborations.

"This is a space specifically designed to host the artistic direction of international talent who have chosen to reinterpret DNA and history of the brand by creating casual pieces blending highly innovative and technical materials," said Giulio Colombo, CEO and grandson to the brand’s founder.

For its first capsule imagined for the Fall/Winter 2018-2019 season, Shayne Oliver developed Colmar jackets that transform into capes and reversible parkas in oversized cuts. Trousers, as well as jackets were designed to be unisex. No question of venturing away from the designers’ usual discourse, who is always questioning the notion of gender. The collection, mixing notions of skiing and those of streetwear.

For the moment, the new capsule is distributed by a small selection of less than ten stores around the world including Browns in London, Excelsior in Milan, Totokaelo in New York and GRB in Tokyo.
