The natural skincare company has sold lipsticks and lip glosses in the past, but in September will launch its first full makeup line.

Burt’s Bees Beauty will hit stores in September with a collection of blushes, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, both liquid and powder foundations, brow pencils and a new lip product. In keeping with the brand’s skincare range, the new cosmetics are advertised as only using natural ingredients. All the items in the new line are dermatologist-tested, and are free of parabens, phthalates, SLS, petrolatum, talc, synthetic fragrances and silicones.

Burt’s Bees worked with celebrity makeup artist Toby Fleischman in the development of the line. Though the line will be on the affordable side, according to Fleischman, products will stand out from other drugstore offerings for their quality. Prices will range from to $8.99 for the Glossy Lipstick to $16.99 for the Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup.

To promote the launch, Burt’s Bees is also selling a limited edition “Burt’s Box” on its website containing a sampling of products from the line.

While Burt’s Bees has touted itself as a natural cosmetics company since 1984, more and more makeup retailers have put an increasing emphasis on natural beauty products in recent months. Sephora recently introduced natural makeup brand Antonym to its stores, where it will be marketed alongside other lines that claim to use natural ingredients. Wal-Mart also launched natural makeup brand Found on Monday.
