Feb 2 (Reuters) - Women's clothing retailer Ann Taylor Stores Corp (ANN.N) raised its fourth-quarter revenue view, well above market expectations, on stronger-than-expected sales at both its Ann Taylor and LOFT brands during the holiday selling season.

AnnTaylor now sees fourth-quarter revenue of $515 million, compared with its prior view of $500 million.

Analysts on average were expecting $502.7 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Comparable sales rose about 11 percent in the quarter.

"The higher sales performance more than offset the impact of several significant weather events as well as margin pressure at LOFT," Chief Executive Kay Krill said in a statement.

AnnTaylor has been benefiting from better merchandise at both the Ann Taylor and LOFT brands, which is helping drive traffic to its stores.

The New York-based company's shares rose 4 percent to $23.45 in trading before the bell on Wednesday. They closed at $22.54 on Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Renju Jose in Bangalore; Editing by Prem Udayabhanu)
