Alexis Mabille is broadening his range. The French designer is about to launch a ready-to-wear bridal line. Until now, Mabille used to meet the demand for wedding dresses with couture items.

Alexis Mabille wants to simplify the purchase of a wedding dress - Alexis Mabille

"My customers and my friends often ask me to outfit them for their wedding, or a ceremony or simply for a night out. They want to look cool, to look even more beautiful, but they are not always willing to wait for months for a bespoke dress. I have therefore decided to recast my 'Evening' collection in shades of white and soft colours," the designer stated, in a press release.

The collection will feature a series of ready-to-wear evening looks in a white colour palette: evening gowns, dinner suits and cute little dresses, priced from €1,135. Veils and an array of other accessories, from clutch bags to bow ties, will also be part of the range, with prices around the €150 mark.

The collection will be available only at a dedicated store, from December 15, wit the label deciding to make its bridal collection the sole focus of its Paris store located at 34 Galerie Vivienne. The other store at 11 rue de Grenelle will continue to showcase the designer's ready-to-wear collection.

"The idea is to simplify the purchase of a wedding dress, making it as natural as buying any other clothes. If you fancy a particular dress, you will leave the store with it on the same day, or will be able to order it for quick delivery," explained Alexis Mabille.

As well as through its two directly owned mono-brand stores in Paris, the Alexis Mabille label is distributed through 46 multi-brand stores worldwide, especially in Asia, its leading market, followed by the Middle East.
